Hello everybody...this time I'm back again...hahax...saw Toh Nguan's blog and suddenly want to write again. However, I not going to write about my feelings today...I'm going to write something much more important...one site that I've come across...
That is MININOVA.ORG. My doubt is that IS IT A FAKE? It's a downloading site...you can download FREE movies, musics, ebooks, shows, documentaries and etc. Yeah...it says FREE...NO SIGNING UP...the downloads at the site is TOTALLY FREE...and that's why I doubted it...
Moreover, there's another site. The address is quite similar but it is MININOVA.COM. Are they partners? No, I don't think so, because what I know is that MININOVA.COM is a real downloading website...if you want ot download, you pay money, because all works are copyrighted.
Now, so WHAT IS MININOVA.ORG?! A fake website which steals copyrighted materials? I dun know. But it's previous site (by the same company or so) is closed down due to some copyright laws. So will it this time get sued again? Why is there a mininova.org when there's mininova.com? What's the purpose of 2 websites? One free and one not? Is it that they want to cater to both rich and poor people? But I still disagree of how mininova.org is working.
Everyone should know that copyright materials cannot be downloaded from the web for free...there's no such good thing. I drew comics myself...if I ever found out that my comic (if there is ever a day my comics are published) is scanned and put onto the web for others to read for free, and no one buying my comics, then my copyright is neglected...and I'll really be very angry (since my pay isn't coming anyway) and stop selling my comics.
Imagine this...no CDs, VCDs, movies, comics, books - how will your life be changed? Very boring right? This day will come, I can say, as long as you people can't stop downloading free copyrighted materials from the web. (I say - for free) You can rent, buy, download paying money - just don't download for free. It's not fair to the people who worked hard to give you so much things. If you guys don't appreciate, one day the copyright holders will get back at you.
So, please quit downloadig them for free. Anyway, downloading illegal music etc. here in Singapore, you'll get into trouble with the law.
